The “Advanced 3D Printing” workshop is designed for individuals who have either gone through our workshop “Introduction of 3D printing” and want to advance their skills, or have mastered the basics on their own and would like to know more about advanced printer settings, NURBS modeling in Rhinoceros 3D, or explore the world of best practices.

Participants will explore using PLA filaments, overcome common pitfalls, and gain advanced knowledge in slicing techniques for more efficient prints. The workshop will also focus on integrating biotechnologies, such as using filament with algae biomass. Furthermore, participants will elevate their Rhinoceros 3D modeling proficiency and will be presented with the opportunity to design and fabricate personalized vases. They will become proficient in the intricacies of exporting their creations and delve into the intricacies of Prusa Slicer’s advanced settings. To culminate their learning journey, attendees will prepare their designs for printing using Prusa printers. This comprehensive workshop not only equips participants with an in-depth understanding of advanced 3D printing concepts but also encourages them to venture into pioneering applications across the fields.

Prior to the workshop, it is imperative for participants to download and install the complimentary 90-day trial version of Rhino. In order to instal the program, it is needed to be registered via McNeel site and follow the instructions.
