Announcing winners of DETECT! Experiential Learning Week in Prague 2024
We are thrilled to announce the winners of our Practical Course in Creative Digital Fabrication and Automation [vol. 2]. After a rigorous and innovative week, it’s time to celebrate the achievements of our participants!
The event brought us a perfect opportunity to test out collaborations of multidisciplinary teams from across the Europe as well as to question them how to valorize maker skills and distributed manufacturing. Specially questioning “why make almost anything” mindset and how do we cultivate creative, entrepreneurial, and deep tech mindset with a sustainable solution.
Each winning team will receive a prize package consisting of a selection of hardware, software, and tools equivalent to their prize value. The specifics of these packages are currently being finalized and will be announced shortly.

We hosted an intense but inspiring week with the UCT and international students. We worked with a combination of digital manufacturing technologies and business skills in an intense format. We went through the topics of basic 3d modeling and vector graphics, learned how to 3D print and laser cut, experimented with food printing, tested a robotic arm, as well as developed business strategies and product pitches.
It allowed some students to find new collaborators and rapidly develop a prototype for their project/start-up, and for others to come up with their first ‘mixed technology’ project with a prototype and business pitch. We applaud all the participants and encourage them to develop their projects and collaborations, we are glad to provide our services to support it further. Our sincere gratitude to everyone from the UCT and DETECT! who made this experience possible!
More photos and content still accessible in the shared folder for all participants.
